Last night, glamtastic Adam Lambert was apparently en route to the East Coast when he tweeted some random photos from his 2009 Details magazine cover shoot. interestingly, there are people on planet Earth that had never seen the infamous (and gorgeous) shots of Lambert posing suggestively with a female model. The photoshoot was done as the singer was coming off the successful 'American Idols' Live! tour.

At the time the photos were released, there was outcry from both the gay community (you're not GAY enough!) and certain heterosexuals (we thought you were GAY!). Commentary ranged from outrage at Lambert betraying his orientation to those that felt the magazine was at fault for manipulating the new star into posing against his will.

Thankfully, there was also much positive reaction from Lambert fans and from people who simply like breathtaking photography of beautiful people. Lambert himself had commented that he had enjoyed the photoshoot, most recently saying that on Twitter last night:
#adamlambert: I just came across this photo. I think she was nervous. I had fun though. #heteroeroticism http://yfrog.com/h2scvvij
When Lambert received enough comments, he replied with this:
#adamlambert: funny- Some folks ask "I thought you were gay - u trying to be straight" others say "oooh that's f**kin hot" that's right!!
The publication of Details magazine preceeded Lambert's equally infamous American Music Awards performance - at which still MORE people took umbrage at Lambert, this time for actually acting gay and kissing a male band member.
Which is it? Do we want Adam Lambert to be himself, or do we want to relegate him back to a narrow little box of preconceived notions or stereotypical behavior?

In my humble opinion, Lambert should continue to do what he wants simply because: no matter what he chooses - he's going to be in hot water with one segment of the population or other.
People seem to always have something to say about Adam Lambert.
And that, friends, is what they call star power.
