Adam Lambert slams ‘Les Miserables,’ praises ‘Dreamgirls’ (Video)

Adam Lambert knows music, but does that mean he knows casting, too? Voicing his opinion about the “Les Miserables” cast, Lambert slams the Oscar favorite by calling out the actors singing ability.

Lambert, who’s never been shy about both getting attention and maintaining it through controversy (we remember you well, American Music Awards), jumped onto Twitter to bash the performance by the “Les Miserables” cast.

“Les Mis: Visually impressive w great Emotional performances. But the score suffered massively with great actors PRETENDING to be singers,” Lambert wrote.

Lambert then went on to write, “It's an opera. Hollywoods movie musicals treat the singing as the last priority.”

So what kind of musicals does Adam think are actually worth watching for both the acting and the singing? How about ones that star Jennifer Hudson and Beyonce Knowles.

“Dreamgirls was good,” added Lambert.

Adam Lambert’s main beef seems to stem from his belief that the casting director did a terrible job of casting actors who can actually sing well in the film.

“The industry will say ‘these actors were so brave to attempt singing this score live’ but why not cast actors who could actually sound good?”

Adam Lambert is an “American Idol” alum who finished as a runner up on the show.
