As Adam Lambert is wowing fans around the US on the top ten “American Idol” tour he has been working on his new album, created a fan charity contest, promoted his fellow Idol’s albums (via Twitter) and received a “Teen Choice” award, just to name a "few" thing he has done.
Last night Lambert was in Madison and Tweeted after the concert, “Not coming out tonight.. gonna rest my throat :) Madison: you guys were amazin! Had me wailin! But I WILL do a Twitter party!!!!”
Adam spent over two hours on Twitter last night answering questions from fans during his Twitter “party.” Here are some of the questions and the answers Adam gave:
- BRITNEY SPEARS. FAVORITE SONG OF HERS? Adam’s answer: Slave for You
- What are you MOST looking forward to after the tour? Adam’s answer: the album! moving into my new place, seein friends!
- DO YOU LIKE GUNS N' ROSES? IF SO, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SONG OF THEIRS? Adam’s answer: Umm yes! Sweet Child O mine for sure
- How many tracks will be on your new album? Adam’s answer: Prob 12 ish. :)
- Brian May is raving about your song for 2012. What kind of sound is it? Adam’s answer: Classic rock ballad. Earthy and catchy
- Favorite michael jackson song? Adam’s answer: Thriller.
- Do you think you will have a clothing line? Adam’s answer: That would be fun. One thing at a time though... :)
- Who is your favorite past american idol winner? Adam’s answer: Fantasia was so wild. She has the most flavor in my opinion
- Old rumor about you eventually having a makeup line: true or BS? Adam’s answer: I just might.... :) unisex
- Funniest person on the bus?? Adam’s answer: Matt is hilarious.
- Hottest FEMALE celebrity? Adam’s answer: i have a girlcrush on megan fox lol. Evan Rachel Wood is gorgeous

ADAM: There is yet another "poll" running on the internet regarding AI along with all the other polls. I for one am sick of them because of all the bad posts and FAN WARS that are created by them. How do you feel about this?
ADAM: Forgive me if I am wrong but a question has been asked about you "impersonating" ELVIS and I feel that there are a lot of ELVIS impersonaters out there already. ELVIS was UNIQUE and is a LEGEND in HIS own time ... the 20th Century. There is only ONE ELVIS just like there is only ONE ADAM and this is the 21st century and you have the ability to become LEGENDARY in your OWN right. Portrayal yes ... but impersonation ... what for? JMHO
That Megan Fox answer was part of the question. Adam only said Evan Rachel Wood. Doesn't make sense for him to sat "girlcrush".
Ques for Adam: Do you do any vocal exercises before singing, and if so, which ones?
For the lame brain that suggested that Adam was an Elvis impersonator and the one who asked if Adam would ever want to be an Elvis impersonator, please, how silly of both of you. Adam cannot help people comparing him to Elvis in looks or sexiness but they sing nothing alike. Both Adam and Elvis are tall, blue eyed with dyed black hair. Elvis had a beautiful voice but his range was nothing like Adam’s. Adam is an original who does not have to impersonate anyone. As far as a question goes, has anyone ever asked him what his vocal range is?

I asked all those last night on Twitter to him, but he no answer any of my questions. Probably because he was sick of all the silly questions that didn't matter. Like, "Tell me what a Coconut Ghost is." What the heck was that?

Did you in your wildest dreams ever think that you would be such a big hit. Touching the hearts of us grannies to the young tweens, it has been fun and exciting watching and waiting for your next surprise. Your are a box of chocolates, the very best chocolates.
I would like to know if it has sunk in, the celebrity (superstar) that he has become. There are people from all over the world following him and loving his music and talent.

I don't think that person meant that Adam should be an Elvis impersonator, just maybe sing an Elvis song, I have never heard him do it. It would especially appeal to those Adam fans old enough to have seen Elvis perform, and I know there are many out there. I thought of it when Adam visited Graceland and mentioned that he used to sing along with an Elvis tape.
Just wondered if Adam's mom and dad were giving him any input or were letting him alone regarding decisions. And has he already hired folks to help him out with PR, etc., or is that determined by 19.
Let me state first that I luuuuuvvvvv Adam. Let me also state that I remember when Elvis first appeared on the scene. That boy could sing and had an amazing voice. Elvis was one of a kind as is Adam. And his style was eclectic just like Adam. The great thing about the super stars is that they can sing one note, and you can recognize them. I'm not sure that is the case with Adam because his voice changes so much depending on the genre.

I'm a huge Freddie Mercury fan and now Adam Lambert...I would like to ask Adam what he loved most about Freddie and the way he performed? I read that FM was an idol to Adam which makes me even more thrilled.
I'd like to ask Adam if he knows how good he really is. I know that it's not in our Adam's nature to respond, 'yes, I know I am that good"..which is one of the reasons we love him so much, but at the same time I feel that someone who is so far above and beyond, someone destined to be legendary, deserves to know how good they are. To add on to that, Are you ready Adam? -because I believe wholeheartedly that you're headed for MJ/Elvis status. I'd like to ask Adam if he's aware of the Elvis comparisons and would he consider singing one of the steamy love ballads that made him famous. Elvis had a charisma and presence that until Adam was unmatched by anyone. I'd like to tell Adam that he's a refreshing breath of air on the music scene and that he definitely has that "it" factor. I will enjoy watching his rise to superstar status and I will be in line to buy whatever album he has for sale.

He's been strugling for 8 years in LA and nobody noticed his talent, even all the producers that he did demo with. He did the AI just to get notice, he hopes American and some indie recording co noticed his talent and signed him for a record. What he gets now a record deal from a major label company and everything he never dreams.

I was merely pointing out that there are already too many ELVIS impersonators ... AND ... ADAM is just as UNIQUE as ELVIS was.
