Adam Lambert has given his fans a really good reason to fight as they compete to raise the largest amount of money for the charity he has partered with, DonorsChoose.org.
In an interview with People, Adam Lambert talked about his very enthusiastic fans saying, "They get really competitive with each other,” adding, “I’m glad that we gave them something to fight over.”
It all started after he began receiving lots of gifts from fans after the American Idol finale, he explains: “I started getting gifts like crazy and people really starting to spend a lot of money on things for me.” Lambert adds, “I don’t need them to spend money on me. I’d rather they spend money on people in need, so I thought I would redirect that energy.”
DonorsChoose.org allows teachers to post what they need for specific school projects, and donors to choose which of them they wish to support with their donations. About the initiative, Adam Lambert says, “It seemed like such a convenient and really well thought-out way to help kids out in public schools, especially the kids in the arts programs, which is where I’m focusing my efforts.”
According to his tweet on August 30th, fans have helped raise over $67,000 dollars so far. Donations can be made at DonorsChoose.org/AdamLambert.

One of my twitter Glamberts told me she saw a gift she wanted to buy for Adam. She looked a the price then donated that amount to Adam's charity instead of buying the gift. If I lived in the states I would probably donate to the charity because it is for a good cause. But I don't so I won't be donating. I'm not the kind of person that would buy gifts for someone with waaaayyyy more $$$ than me anyway. I will purchase Adam's album the minute it is released. That will be my gift to him.
ADAM generates positive energy from his fans. LOVE begets LOVE.
For every song he sings brings JOY to the world to all his fans.
LOVE multiplies. And the best form of LOVE is CHARITY towards all.
And who needs it most but the littlest brethren.
ADAM practices the 2nd greatest Commandment: LOVE thy neighbors.
GOD is smiling at ADAM. His creation with no evil bone in him.

Just sent a $15 donation in through the official glamberts group for a kids chorus group. I think this is a decent lovely thing Adam is doing for kids and music.
Adam is an amazingly kind person. It's wonderful that many children are going to benefit from those fully-funded projects.
It is the arts- painting,music,poetryjournal writing,etc-that have been shown to be very healing in rehab, health institutes, incarceration facilities,- so having these arts kept in the schools is good for mental/emotional health,the soul and spirit, the creative right brain which is neglected by math, science,which are needed, but provided while the arts are dropped.The programs that Adam are supporting are good for society.
Make that $82,000 that we fans have donated for this great cause so far. I am really happy to participate in this great organization to help kids. I appreciate Adam's kind spirit in turning us on to it.
