With Adam Lambert’s birthday around the corner, fans have been eagerly waiting for him to announce a charity project for this year. On Monday night, Adam tweeted his charity of choice for his 32nd birthday – Nile Rodger’s We Are Family Foundation.

Adam shared via Twitter that he has collaborated with artist Chris Saunders to create an art piece for his birthday and some of the proceeds from sales of the print will go to We Are Family Foundation.

Adam’s choice comes as no surprise because he is good friends with Nile Rodgers and they have collaborated together for a couple of songs. Also, Adam was honored with the We Are Family Foundation’s 2012 Unity Award.

In past years Adam has suggested fans donate to charity in honor of his birthday rather than send gifts. He started this trend for his Golden Birthday in 2011, when he asked fans to donate to Charity: water, raising more than $323,000 to provide clean water to over 16,000 people in Africa. In 2012 he again asked for Charity: water donations and raised about $88,000 for the organization.

Two versions of the art piece "Aquarian Wolf” will be available, including Limited Edition Prints on 20”x20” Archival Museum Paper, Hand-Signed by Adam Lambert and Chris Saunders, and Custom order Open Edition posters (15”x15”). Although a sneak peek is up now, the full work of art will be revealed Wednesday, on Adam’s birthday.

For more information about the project, check out Chris Saunder’s website.
