It is most definitely a Mad World out there, when the likes of Adam Lambert could be kept from greeting his fans due to threats from a rumored stalker.While at the American Idols concert this past week on July 29,, when a friend of mine went to purchase a photograph of Adam to get autographed, she was told that Adam would not be at the Meet and Greet event due to threats from a stalker at the Tampa concert the night before.
Reports stated that "evidently there [were] some people...wearing some insulting Adam, t-shirts and there is some girl outside by the buses who they are concerned about. So Adam didn't come out to see the fans."
Apparently Adam's Twitter account was also hacked--though I don't believe that had anything to do with him not being present at the Meet and Greet.
I'm sure his fans will be quite disappointed, since it is also rumored he will not be at the fan events for the remainder of the tour.
What a pity that a few people have to ruin it for the rest of us--I know I tried my best to win the backstage passes so I could get a closer look at the musical dynamo...and even though I didn't win, I'm sorry to hear that other folks won't get their chance either.
But most important is Adam's safety--so I hope that if these rumors are true, that security has been beefed up to keep Adam out of harm's way.

fyi, all of adam's accounts (twitter, myspace, etc.) were hacked but it was more than 2 weeks ago.. so obviously it doesn't have to do with this latest 'stalker' incident.. tonite in north carolina he apparently had to skip the autograph session due to illness..
also, Dave "Ko", the fantastic music director for the AI band has had to close down his Twitter account, apparently due to disrespectful fans harassing him..
all really unfortunate...

Not sure on the timeline on your info, but when Adam was in Charlotte, he did sign autographs and do pictures, because I TOUCHED HIM!!!! Fantastic night!!! Sorry to you people who did or are going to miss out!
this is not true; adam has not cancelled his meet and greet appearances. there are pics of him at all the meet and greet since the stalking incident--EVEN THE ONE THAT NIGHT! he just didn't go out by the buses. your blog is based on exaggerated gossip as this incident has been blown way out of proportion. overdramatic american idol fans waiting outside & getting hearsay from VENUE security not even IDOL security guards (who are notorious for lying about event talent's whereabouts and schedules and, in my experiences at concerts, like to exaggerate stories) are in no way valid sources. only if it was confirmed by reps from the idols' camp or by a HEAD security rep of that particular venue should you be publishing this garbage. being that the "stalker" event was almost a week ago and all this is completely unconfirmed, it shouldn't even be "reported" about at this point. also, the person at the show who tweeted about the anti-adam shirts didn't even see them herself. more hearsay!

@Lynn - To your comment that "only if it was confirmed by reps from the idols' camp or by a HEAD security rep of that particular venue should you be publishing this garbage", just to clarify, my article states that it was rumored that he cancelled the meet and greets, and in addition I was reporting what was told to a friend while at the concert. I appreciate all feedback but not sure why mentioning something rumored would offend anyone.

Lynn I was at Tampa concert Adam much to our disappointment did not come out to any M & G after we found out he was not coming out we went to buses and security people said he left right after concert due to security concerns I was there and not meeting Adam that night because of whatever was going on crushed a lot of us but I'm sure his protection is more important then our dreams of meeting him. Love & support for Adam

You failed to note that this stalker incident was never even confirmed!And neither has his cancellation of meet & greets in ANY way! Most important details should be first. Your reader may drop off after the first two paragraphs, the most important and CONFIRMED facts should go there. Nowhere in the 1st 2 paragraphs do you mention that it is a rumor.You set the tone for this article as though it was fact, not rumor, and if people were to glance at the headline or the 1st paragraph, they definitely will come away with the wrong idea. Your headline states this as fact which it is most definitely is not.Even something like "Rumored stalker at Bank Atlantic Center may have kept Adam Lambert from Meet & Greets" would've been more appropriate.
I forgot to mention the next night at Sunrise Fl he was not at any M & G My friends from Tampa went to that concert also.I had already spent $400 on tampa and couldn"t afford to go(ADAM WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY! totally awesome!) They teased me because I would miss meeting him but after waiting hours in heat finally they start pulling last of idols in and say Adam will not be out- security reasons I guess once they left Fl they started back with M&G sucks to live in florida right now So I know first hand no Adam in Tampa or Sunrise
correction-it sounds like I said security reasons I guess but what I meant was "Adam was not coming due to security" and I guess when they left florida Adam was at M & G in other states
@jen i am sorry you missed adam; that's too bad. when you say M&G do you mean the private M&G or by the buses after? i am talking about the private M&Gs since this rumored incident. as for this stalker stuff, things get blown WAY out of proportion when it comes to AI fandom and if there was a legitimately threatening & dangerous individual there, would they really let the rest of the idols out and about? it was probably some creepy over the top fan who said or suggested something that was inappropriate or questionable--next thing u know,he has a full blown dangerous stalker causing him to be "removed" from the arena. to me, that implies he had a police fleet escort him out, which did not happen in the least. i've read and seen pictures from this past weekend of people who met him at the M&Gs - ontd_ai represent (i go there). so this has in no way affected his entire meet & greet schedule for the remainder of the tour. too many conclusions are made without enough facts being given
talking about M & G outside where all the idols come out and go around I wish I could have went inside M&G but I have no connections. Also I'm talking about around the buses-no Adam -they said he left right after concert which makes sense because the security guard said it happened at the buses earlier they won't leave Adam there waiting 3 hrs in the bus. One of my friends searched arrest records in the county for that day no arrest made for anything like that. I'm thinking a strange person or persons did something involving Adam that alerted a need for the security but whoever it was left before they could stop them. Everything I've said I'm trying to say what I saw. But before we left that night other people who were there all day said it was agroup of people wearing tshirts with a threatening message about Adam one of that group was seen by the bus and Adam recognized her from earlier that day and they did something that frightened the idols- that is what other people there said
@Jen, thanks for the firsthand feedback about the M & G, and I'm sorry too that you missed seeing Adam up close and personal! Hopefully next time when he comes back to do his **own** full on concert (I'm keeping fingers crossed for that).

Are you sure it was a girl and not some guy disguised as a girl to throw everyone off? Never know...there are a lot of nutty people of both sexes. I'd check out that possibility if it hasn't been done already...just sayin'.
@Lynn....What makes YOU such an authority on ADAM LAMBERT? ALSO, you don't sound like one of his fans and if I'm right what gives YOU the inside info on ADAM?? Someone asked KRIS where he was THAT NIGHT and KRIS said he was NOT coming to the M&G. Was KRIS "LYING" too??
I'm a fan; just not a delusional one who overreacts to every single little thing that has to do w/Adam Lambert. The buses are not the meet and greet that I'm referring to; this article is referring to "THE MEET AND GREET" event that is privately held inside the venue for those with access passes only. Kris said that Adam wasn't coming out TO THE BUSES. Kris never said Adam was canceling all his meet and greets nor did Kris ever say that there was a "stalker". When did I ever say I had "inside info"? I wanted to show this reporter that her headline and intro was most definitely misleading as NONE of this has been confirmed, but you're taking into this whole other territory. So by feeling that this "stalker" report has been significantly exaggerated, it makes me a bad fan? I'd say a bad fan buys into unsubstantiated rumors, causing a complete frenzy and unnecessary negative press and frustration for the artist in question. But that's just me.
Not sure what the issues are but Adam's Twitter, My Space and his email have all been hacked according to an interview with Adam. They truly need to protect him and if it means less meeting the fans, I am sure he will be disappointed - but they need to protect our boy! That is the #1 issue!!
