Adam Lambert's highly anticipated performance on The View aired Thursday morning.  Adam Lambert performed "What Do You Want From Me?" the second single off his debut album "For Your Entertainment."  Adam Lambert's performance on Thursday morning's The View was significantly less controversial than his now infamous AMA performance three weeks ago.

The View co-host and former Adam Lambert trasher Elisabeth Hasselbeck was all over the glam rocker now, introducing his segement and then cozying up to him after his Whaddaya want from me? performance in a concerted effort to convince Adam Lambert fans that her scathing critique of his AMA performance was some sort of bad dream.
The morning after the AMAs, Elisabeth Hasselbeck preached that Adam Lambert's performance was "way over the line," and then stated:
"Does anyone know what song he sang? And does anyone remember what he sounded like?  Because let me tell you this, this is a mistake Adam Lambert will make time and time again.  We will not remember him as a performer or someone with a voice if he continues to do this.  He'll smarten up and sing."

Adam Lambert's performance on The View was pre-taped.  ABC executives said that was due to a scheduling conflict that Adam Lambert had with another program, but Barbara Walters let it slip that Lambert would be performing on tape because "some people are afraid of what he might do."

    Adam seems like a nice and sweet guy. Why is Elisabeth trashing him??????? Is it because he is GAY????????????? Not cool!

    Love Adam no matter what.

    Adam looks great and his set is spacey dark futuristic cool. But with the black background and Adam dressed in black you can't see him very well. He sounds amazing, as always. And, yeah, he is a nice and sweet guy.

    Neat set... Adam can sing on a cardboard box and I will still go to see him.

    @Jenny - LOL!
    Yes, ADAM can be in rags and still look gorgeous and delicious and I'd still listen and watch him.

    Also noticing what the poll says, "Dirty" ???? What was so "dirty" about it??????? it was a freakin performance, Adam who just who happens to be openly gay with a pinch of edge and balls of steel. Why are people reacting like this, double standard?

    SEE THE INTERVIEW,not the performance. Elisabeth said the AMA hoopla was a mischaracterization that 'you're a nice guy and it was shown at 11pm after all -kids supposed to be in bed. Barbara said nothing new that hasn't been seen before and really what harm was done and Joy said she thought the reaction was homophobic. Said daytime soaps more sexual & kids home.

    I don't normally watch The View but after watching Adam Lambert's interview with the ladies I have a new respect for all of them especially Liz. She was soooo sweet and affectionate toward Adam. Nice to see the ladies work together so well. I'll have to tune in more often.
