Michael Jackson's 'This Is It' premieres worldwide tomorrow (October 28, 2009), but many celebrities came out to show their support in Los Angeles, including American Idol album Adam Lambert. The film premiered simultaneously in eighteen countries throughout the world this evening, and there was a live UStream event from the red carpet in Los Angeles. Lambert attended the Los Angeles premiere with ‘I Kissed A Girl’ hit maker Katy Perry on his arm.

Adam Lambert showed his love for the pop icon during his stint on ‘American Idol’, putting his own spin on Jackson’s hit “Black or White” during the competition. He was in rehearsals for the Idols Live tour on the day of Jackson’s death, and it is obvious that the King of Pop made a real impact on the eccentric Idol runner-up.

The film, which chronicles rehearsals for Jackson's fifty ill-fated 'This Is It' shows at London’s O2 Arena, has met with controversy from fans. ‘This Is It’ was compiled from approximately one hundred hours of rehearsal footage, and is the final opportunity to see the iconic Jackson doing what he loved before his untimely death four months ago.
