Adam has balls of steel and his album Rocks!! Freedom of artistic expression is vital, so let freedom reign and let Adam be brilliant as always!!
This poll is not acurate. The numbers keep jumping forward then backwards when voting NO!!! Love Adam Lambert....
Adam has stated that his adrenalin and 'the moment' got the best of him during his performance and he's learning. That is an acceptable explanation for me! Haven't WE ALL (attention: critics and stone-throwers) done something on impulse (don't lie!) in our lifetime? Are some of the other artists that appeared that night being asked to apologize for their performances? No!! Enough said!
Love Adam still....he is a superb singer and performer...no doubt about that. His album is just great..love all the songs..my best though is Sleepwalker and of course, Whataya Want From Me(which is, by the way, the right song for him to sing after the AMA awards).
Love Adam....he will be rocking us for a long time - so go away haters!
"...has (finally!)decided to speak out"? What rock have you been living under? He's been addressing the controversy every day for the past week. Now he's moving on...and you should too.
Not only should he have apologized, he should have been required to wash his mouth (or his crotch) out with soap. That performance was waaaayy too OTT for me.
Seriously, anyone would think he'd pulled his trousers down on live TV. Some people in America really need to get with the century.
By the way, your darling Susan Boyle (please keep her the next time she's over there) flashed her knickers on the final of Britain's Got Talent. There's a treat for you all to look forward to sometime .................
Adam spoke out as soon as he had a platform that enabled him to. He has always been a performer who gives everything to everybody. He is just beginning, and is finding out that you just can't please everybody all of the time. There are just some people out there who will be judgemental no matter what. Since his talent is so momumental, it is better that he tries to reign it in a little. Save the really ott stuff for the concerts when he tours. OMG, I can't wait for those concerts!
@bebe Good point. I did not mean it like that, but I could have phrased that better. I have taken your comment into consideration and changed the line. Thanks! :)
Appologize? are you kidding me? what for? he didn't do anything wrong. whoever is acusing him of his provocative performance, deal with it, it is entertainment people. you should be thankful for that crazy performance filled with awesomeness. His perfomance was the only memorable one. if thats a problem in your books then you are the ones who have issues, not this brilliant performer. I for one have enjoyed his FYE performance and I am sure there are millions out there who think the same way. If he is to tour with this number, I would buy a ticket in a heart beat. Adam is awesome and I am thankful for all his genius performances so far and I hope he continues to amaze us with this unpredictable showmanship and unbelievable vocals. As for the people who want him to appologize, get over yourselves...Lon live ROck and Roll...It is all LOve and it is all Adam!
I feel like this is a double standard and that is all that is to it. It is ok for Eminem to rap about rap and have so many bleeps in it you cannot understand it, Shakira shaking ot like nobodys business, Lady Gaga half naked and what about Brittany and Madonna? This is a sad, sad situation.
Of course not!Appologize to who?If you dont like that kind of performance then you can change the channel but he doesnt owe you an appolgie. There are artists I dont like and I dont like the things they say in their music but I dont expect them to appologize to me if I hear it one the radio.I just change the station and I say that their music is for someone else.He really doesnt over do it.That was one sexual performance but he's done plentey that are not that way.I dont mind someone taking a risk onec in a while and I thought it was entertaining.
On second thought maybe he should apologize - for making that performance too short. I want more!!!
People, get use to it!!! Adam Lambert is here to stay!!! Society will continue to push you behind the line until you stay there for good!!! Your kind have done nothing but give humanity a history of violence!!! Does it take a public figure like Mr. Lambert to commit suicide or be assassinated for society to realize that we have gone too far!!!?
@Tina,
You are clearly the only 'out-of-touch' person to post on this site, as of yet! Adam IS OTT, and unless you've been hiding under a rock, you're the only person who is unaware of this. That is why his fans love him. No boring cookie-cutter performer, that Adam. May I suggest if you do not like him, don't watch him! It's your right!
Absolutely NOT!! NO!! He didn't do anything wrong!! & His album rocks!!;-)
Adam apologized without saying those words! He knows, and I know, this will never happen again. I blame his management for even releasing FYE as his first single. Adam is the most talent pop/rock singer alive today. That is not just my opinion, but the opinion of the music industry in general. I look forward to this chapter being over, and the start of a brilliant career.
He IS BRILLIANT....and the CD is also...can't stop listening!! I LOVE EVERY track...even the ones that didn't GET me right off the bat HAVE me NOW!!!
Few things to point out. Adam has tweeted many times of his appearances, not just Ellen. Adam has thanked us, his fans, many many times for our support, not just now. He has always promoted the other idols and encouraged all to buy their albums. Adam has always known how to present himself in different moments. And he is new and he is learning. He has nothing to apologize for. He handled this whole controversy with dignity, grace and class. He is a man to be admired and respected.
I love Adam Lambert--everything about him. I think ABC hyped him up all week and they promised a shocker for the end of the show. Then they sat Adam down to watch the others perform so that he'd be sure to see what he needed to "top." Well, he did it and it was certainly entertaining. Shame on ABC
Shame on you Tina--your comment was too OTT for me.
Tina you comments were vulgar and you should be banned from this site you have a filty mouth. We love Adam and we don't need you spewing venom. Crawl back in your hole slug.
Oh Tina forgot to mention. You seem to be just a little jealous that you weren't the one he was kissing on the show. Sorry sweet heart.
Tina: GROW UP! You talk like a 10 yo child!
ADAM ROCKS I had never heard of him before the AMA and probably wouldn't if it weren't for that so HELL no he shouldn't apologize
and go listen to Sleepwalker if you haven't it is the.best.song.ever
Adam Lambert is the best performer to come along in many years. As he said, he is learning. Give the boy a chance. He has excellent vocals and has intelligence to back it up. Keep up the good work, Adam!
I think he should apologize for stumbling, for panting at certain parts, for going flat on a high note and for the love of the Horus on his left hand for copying LADY GAGA. We all know he doesn't need to do that to be famous. He can wear a sweatshirt, chipped nails and yesterday's eyeliner and we will still be there lining up to see him! I mean, please. Please I hope he doesn't become one of these entertainers who believe their own press.
Can I say Hell no? He should not apologize, and we should all be thanking him for attempting to pry the minds of Americans open a little bit.
You can't apologize when you didn't do anything wrong!! go Adam! We Love You!!
ADAM already said it is NOT his intention to offend, that he is learning. No apology is needed unless we ask from all the others who did the same sexual antics in their performances. What he should apologize about is that, by being provocative sexually and putting the focus on his sexuality, he sang horribly. But he already admitted that and I'm glad he made that realization by saying now he will focus on his singing. Go, ADAM, because you are a gift. Share that gift and bring joy to our hearts.
I am a mature, professional woman from Miami and have been a huge fan of Adam's since his audition. There is no more open, honest, intelligent, talented person in the industry today, so I support any decision he makes, because it is HIS life. Having said that, I am not surprised to see him re-evaluate his performance on the AMA's. I'm sure after the initial thrill of having shocked everyone, he thought about whether it was really who he is and what effect it will have on his career. Good for him. His character is exhibited by the way he went right to his means of communication with his fans, told them his thoughts on what to expect in the future, and thanked fans, who he knows adore him. Good for him. Now, let's get on with it. If they would televise the JINGLE BALL he is hosting in Tampa this month, people would be totally blown away with his personality and people skills. He is not performing, but hosting, one more thing at which he will excel.
Got something to say?
