Adam Lambert has added Max Martin to the already impressive list of collaborators on his upcoming debut album. And according to Queen guitarist Brian May, his track for the movie 2012 is "truly sensational."
On Monday, August 17th, Adam Lambert used Twitter to say, “[On to] stuff that matters: In NYC to record song with MAX MARTIN!!! Soo excited. This album is getting so great!!" The producer, as Rolling Stone reports, is responsible for mega hits like Kelly Clarkson's “Since U Been Gone,” Britney Spears’ “… Baby One More Time,” Pink’s “So What” and Katy Perry's “I Kissed a Girl” (remember when she wore a cape with "Adam Lambert" on it on an American Idol results show?.
Besides Max Martin, Adam Lambert collaborates with OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, (who has also worked with Kelly Clarkson and Beyoncé), Lady Gaga's producer RedOne, Linda Perry, Greg Wells, and Sam Sparro on the album, which according to him will be full of surprises.
In other news, it seems like it has been confirmed that Adam Lambert recorded a song for the soundtrack of the upcoming end-of-the-world movie 2012. According to MTV News, Queen guitarist Brian May recently hung out with producer Rob Cavallo, heard the track, and wrote the following about it in a blog post dated Friday, August 14th: "I have to say I was completely blown away ... it's truly sensational. In fact it's so obviously a number one smash, any bookie would be mad to take bets on it. I am not kidding. I'm not easily moved to jelly by male vocalists ... but Adam's voice reaches out with sensitivity, depth, maturity, and awesome range and power which will make jaws drop all around the world. Its an awesome performance. No doubt about it. The world of Rock has a bright new star."
Certainly, Adam Lambert's music career is soaring towards success and international stardom these days, and he can probably count on a very succesful album debut. So much media coverage and anticipation might even be good for 2012's sales, with fans going to see the movie just so they can hear Lambert's song during the credits.

Thanks a lot, Brian May! I cant wait to hear Adam's new songs....soooo excited!!!!
Since I read some blogs dismissing Brian as though to diminish his gushing over ADAM's genius, let me share this.
When I told my daughter, who is a great fan of Queen, about how Brian gushed over ADAMs 2012 theme song, she revealed to me Brian has PhD and is some sort of a rocket scientist! Not only that. She said that the guitar Brian uses, he himself built. I said WOW! She told me to look it up as she saw my amazement. Well, here it is.
Brian Harold May, CBE, PhD is an English musician and astrophysicist most widely known as the lead guitarist and also a song writer of the rock band Queen and is currently the Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University.
He was made Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2005 for "services to the music industry". May was ranked 39th in Rolling Stone magazine list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time".
ill buy the soundtrack just for the song... ROCK ON ADAM! and wow, with those ppl he's working with, his debut will so be a surefire hit!
