Adam Lambert may forego another single in order to concentrate on a new album - but fans are wondering why they can't have both. Lambert, who is in New Zealand today after a much-scrutinized performance in Kuala Lampur, spent some time at Malaysian radio station Hitz FM where the subject of music releases was addressed.
Lambert didn't seem to think he would be releasing another single from his For Your Entertainment disc, an album which has sold over a million copies worldwide and is certified gold in multiple countries. He revealed that, instead, his management would like him to "have a new album out by the spring or summer" 2011.
In the United States, Lambert released three songs from For Your Entertainment - the title song, which received a luke-warm reception on radio, followed by platinum-selling Pink-penned "Whataya Want From Me," and the summer hit "If I Had You." (Some argue that "Time for Miracles was a single from this album, but the theme song from the movie "2010" was included as a bonus track.)
Fans have been campaigning for either "Fever," a Lady Gaga collaboration, or the Ryan Tedder anthem "Sleepwalker" as the next single. If Lambert plans to perform at any Jingle Ball concerts this December, it would be an opportune time to have a new single to plug.
Adam Lambert is finding ever-growing popularity both stateside and abroad, wrapping up the Asia leg of his Glam Nation tour in time to return to the United States for an Hawaii show and then off to tour Europe.
Lambert performed several times in our local area during the Glam Nation tour - including June 5 (Starland Ballroom, NJ), June 22 & 23 (Nokia Theater, NYC), June 24 (MGM Grand, CT) and August 13 (Musikfest, PA). Adam Lambert and his Glam Nation crew did not stop at the Nassau Coliseum, unlike the American Idols Live tour in 2009 when Long Islanders got to see the Idol runner-up up close and personal.
If Lambert tours to promote a new album in 2011, perhaps Long Island will be one of the stops.

I totally agree on Aftermath. First time I heard it, it really sounded like something you could hear a million times on the radio. That one should definitely be released. As for a new album, HURRY UP! Can't wait!
I would LOVE 1 more single from FYE. At this time, I think it should Sure Fire Winners. Mostly because it is the NFL season and his music is already turning up at stadiums across the USA!
Can't let you Go was not included on the US version of the album and is an excellent track. It would make more sense to release this as people who already own the album would buy it and the vocal shows Adam at his best.
I can see Sleepwalker or Sure Fire Winners as a single.I really don't understand why they are not trying another single. The only possible reason I can imagine is that because radio programmers have responded best to in-person meetings with Adam, if Adam is busy on another album, he won't have time to do yet another promo tour. Too bad, I guess, that he's not another pre-fab pop machine whose music is automatically added to playlists no matter how drecky it is.
I love "Soaked"! great song and showcases his vocals. He needs to perform this song on the Grammy awards and blow everyone away. I think Soaked would give him the credibility he deserves. Best male singer in the game right now.
I agree, it would also open him up to the adult contemporary crowd and he could gain an additional audience.

Totally agree! SOAKED is the BEST song on ADAM's GlamNation tour ... audiences are MESmerized by ADAM's VOICE ... at some venues you could hear a pin drop during SOAKED ... and then UPROARIOUS APPLAUSE!! This is a missed opportunity by RCA/Sony/19 ... IMO!!

I think adam could and should do another single, whether it be sleepwalker, aftermath, fever, can't let you go, time for mircles. OMG what does that tell us, he has so many amazing potenial hits we cannot even just pick one. It's just so sad with the music we have to listen to today as HITS and here you have someone that has so many amazing songs to be played and it just doesn't happen! I know i love adam, but I also know a good vocal song when I hear one and I never hear one that compares to adam's vocals. Yes, there are good artists out there, but no one has his vocal ability, not even close!
They can say what they want about Adam but he has the best, most beautiful voice in pop/rock today and I love the occasional wails he throws in - that amazing high note - love it.
Absolutely want another single. Since Adam has said previously that the radio stations won't play Fever, then my vote goes to Sleepwalker, which is a universally appealing song, and has the chance to be a big hit and keep him on the radio until spring.
I personally would love for "Sleepwalker" or "Fever" to be released as a new single. Both have the potential of being very radio friendlly! But, I can't wait for the new album either!
Canadian Glamberts want Fever and have peititioned Sony Canada to release it...here's hoping. I donlt get why releasing another single and doing another album have to be mutually exclusive?? Seems to me, releasing another single keeps him on the radio and in the public eye/ear. At this point I don't think he needs to do all the same publicity, for releasing the single, as he had to do for the previous ones.
I'm greedy when it comes to Adam. I WANT BOTH, pretty please with glitter on top !! Fever or Sleepwalker or Voodoo are my choices for single.
I think it would be wise for Adam to get a new single so that he finds the time and peace of mind to make a VERY GOOD new album.
My feeling is that fans and media will have HUGE expectations from tis new album.
You're right. He has toured and promoted the first cd that was probably put together in a short time. The second cd will be a challenge, it must be outstanding
I want Sleepwalker! I love it and I think the public will respond very well. I agree give Adam time to put out a great Sophmore album. Please universe give us another single. Heck I love most of them. I don't care. Just another song released.

I agree totally. I'm one of the Canadians that wants to see Fever released but Sure Fire Winners and/or Sleepwalker would be good and would not offend the narrow-minded out there (if you know what I mean). And yes, it will be a long time before we hear the new cd and it will have to be exceptional with singles that hit the top 10 because we all know how quickly people forget about American Idols after their first cd. Although I'm certain now that Adam has fans around the world, he won't have any problems reaching the top.

Tough question. Love all the music on FYE would be thrilled for another single. However, I think once a single is released Adam will have to spend time on a video, TV promotion etc. That would set back his working on a new album. Choices choices!
Oh, I agree! Adam can do both! We need another single and it would put FYE cd to Plaintinum I bet! I love Sleepwalker and Fever and he could definately perform them at Jingle Balls to promote it! Why cant he do both? Kesha has the same label and look what they relese for her! Come on, RCA, we need another Adam single to tide us over for new album!!!

I want both too! I don't think he would have to do extensive touring promo for a new single if he releases one - he could shoot a music video in a day (with his creativity I'm sure he could put together an amazing video on a low budget), and then let the video and fans do the promo for him (we've had a siginifican influence helping to guide things thus far). And while the next single and video are riding high on the charts over the next several months, he can work on his new album. @SonyMusicGlobal - are you listening?????? Any of Adams songs on FYE have the potential to be a big hit.
He really needs to release Cant let you go--It is a heart wrenching song one that deserves to be heard. I ordered the cd online just to get a copy of it--- I hope his management is listening and releases it. I also think this song would be amazing if he sang it live.

Probably Sleepwalker, or Soaked, but would like to hear Can't Let You Go on his second Album with a little less band, and more Adam. Pretty Please.

i think he should make Fever a single, and do a high pitched sexual! like he does in his live concerts.. the one on his cd isn't very high pitched, it sounds regular and not too exciting
Everybody request "If I Had You" and "Whataya Want From Me" on as many radio stations and download the singles as much as possible!!!!! Once Adam and his management see how much success those two songs are still having, RCA will have no choice but to release a new single. And I'm hoping that either "Pick U Up" or "Fever" will be released as the next single (it's just a little pronoun).
Like so many fans, I'd like to see Adam do both. But when I look at this whirlwind tour schedule, I don't know how he has time for anything else. He is the best thing since Elvis and I hope he doesn't wear himself out. His sheer energy is as inspiring as his unbelievable voice.
Z93 in LaCrosse, Wisc. has been playing IIHY and WWFM consistantly. Kudos to the jockeys. I let them know how much I appreciate that. Would love some more singles from his cd. Notice I said "some". The whole cd is single-worthy. How much clout does Adam have with the record company, anyway?

Adam Lambert is a a natural vocalist and performer! He captures my attention more than any other artist today! He's sexy, beautiful, sexy, those dance moves...Damn, he can move! I can't wait to here his next album =) =)

Another single for sure. Sleepwalker would be good. Fever is a great song, but the pronoun would freak out America. America has poor taste in music anyway, so he needs to play it safe. Hope he is at one of the jingle balls.
100% people here want another single. Why in the world do these people at RCA don't listen to the thousands of fans that want another song? I can't belive the CD has like 5 more potential hits and they act like if we were a bunch of empty buckets...
"SLEEPWALKER" Will go ALL THE WAY TO #1. I have played it several times in a Hotel van ride back from the airport and several guest on the van, ask me "who is that? I love that song." Then I tell them "Adam Lambert" and the flip out. FEVER would be good too and i don't mind a little editing of that one word. Do it for the female fans fans. There "She" goes...... Works for me , and im a gay male...

Please don't pass over 'Asia' like that for Adam to be back in the US!!! I'm in Brisbane and seeing Adam next Friday night. Australian fans are extremely excited to see him soon - actually, we'd like to keep him!!
SLEEPWALKER NOW PLEASE!!!!!!!!! Would love him to do with Can't Let You Go too. Sleepwalker is one heck of a song - it's got thant incredible intro, beautiful vocals but it rocks out too. Isooooooooooooooo adore it!
