Adam Lambert has already had a ton twenty single in both Canada and the United States with "Whataya Want From Me" (in addition to a plethora of other places) -- now, the former "American Idol" star can say the same thing about France.
According to a new chart update from our friends over in Europe, "Whataya Want From Me" made its debut on France's singles chart with week at the #20 spot. What makes this list even more impressive, though, is the fact that only a small handful of the artists above Adam are artists familiar to listeners in the United States (such as Shakira and Usher).
Although this sone was popular here in the States back in early 2010, France is seeing some major songs here just now starting to trickle in -- Mike Posner's "Cooler Than Me" also recently debuted on the cart.

I am proud that Adam is doing so well internationally. Lack of Radio and TV appearances lately is affecting his spins & sales in US. Other countries seem to appreciate his talent moreso than US maybe due to demographics not sure tho. I hope RCA releases SW, Aftermath or FEVER as single during the downtime Adam is working on 2nd album.Personally I don't think there is anyone else in music business that even comes close to his talent.
Um, for Posner's cooler than me to even chart is a joke in my opinion, was not my favorite song AT ALL! Good for Lambert though, great song!
Seems to me he is sweeping western and eastern Europe (Hungary) with his successful singles.
So he has huge success in Canada, the US, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Manila, Malaysia, Japan, Europe. What's the next continent? - South America. Maybe you should be looking at the charts on that continent.
I'm thrilled that WWFM is doing well in France as Adam had mentioned ealier in the year that they hadn't been accepting of him yet. So yay! Adam is definitely well-loved in Mexico and S. America too. Keep it up Adam! I just wish the UK wasn't so pig-headed, I thought the US was bad....
IN YOU WE HAVE A FOUND A INTERNATIONAL STAR...AND NOW FRANCE KNOWS IT...TALENT DOES MATTER AFTER ALL...
WWFM is a great song and Adam killed it. I'm listening to his Acoustic Live for the nTH time. It still gives me goosebumps. Sooner or later, talent will prevail, all over the world!
Great news. He still is selling records and I wish he could be platinum in America. There is a long way to go. I still think he needs to release another single. I'm glad he is appreciated internationally and I hope better things are coming for him. He should get a clothing or make-up line like Jessica Simpson. Then he wouldn't have to worry about selling CDs.
Wow, a year after WWFM was released in the States, they are finally releasing it in France? My goodness. Good way to keep his name in the media all year long. Good management style.
Adam's sales in the US for FYE are now at 782,000, he sold 7,000 this past week +34% from the previous week. That album keeps plugging along!!!
Wow if i am correct his abulm just debuted in the past two months in paris. If so good job for him. I am so glad to hear it
I'm so glad that France is recognizing Adam's talent! It's amazing that WWFM was only released a couple of months ago there. Adam is doing so well internationally...looks like they appreciate true talent.
I still feel Adam's management needs to release one more single off of FYE. There are so many quality songs on that album why not maximize it? There will be a little too much downtime without any TV appearances. Of course, we all look forward to the Grammys on February 13th! I will wait patiently for Adam's next album though. I just received the 4 more Acoustic Live EPs I ordered to give as gifts. That is the most beautiful album. I play it over and over every day. Adam's voice is magnificent!
Looks like the only continents ADAM hasn't toured are South America and Africa .... don't think penguins listen to music in Antarctica ... maybe they will if it's ADAM ... lol ... but I read somewhere a couple of months ago that maybe South Africa might get lucky. From the posts on Ytube ... they love ADAM there too!!
Matt you have a typo. I am sure you intended to say Top Twenty rather than "ton". If you consider that 10% of sales go unreported toward certification Adam has sold about 860,200 albums in the US. There is also a question about why RCA is not going with albums shipped rather than albums sold.
