According to a recent press release, the glamalicious Adam Lambert has just signed on to ring in 2010 at the GRIDLOCK New Year's Eve event, located at the legendary Paramount Pictures Studio. Lambert will take the main stage at midnight, and audiences are expecting an electrifying performance to kick off the New Year immediately following the midnight countdown and fireworks display. (Wonder who he'll be kissing at midnight on stage??)
The event will host 5,000 people, and in addition to Lambert, will also include performances by Kevin Rudolf, Wonderland, Qwes, Dakota Lamas, Far East Movement, and 10 different DJ's and performers on four different stages throughout the New York City themed streets of the historic Paramount Pictures lot. Festivities will begin at 9 P.M. and will continue until 3 A.M. The entire New York Street back lot facility of Paramount will be transformed into "Times Square West" for this unique block party.
Pamela Anderson will be celebrity hosting, and the headlining Lambert will perform an incredible 40 minute set with songs from his debut album, "For Your Entertainment". The event is open to the public, but will most likely sell out fast. Ticket prices start at $150 for the "basic" package, and range all the way to $3500 for special tables near the stage where Adam will perform. The event is produced and presented by Matthew Gavin Enterprises, TLK Fusion, Hollywood Studios International and Paramount Rocks.

Looks like Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve has lost out on the most wonderful singer we have had for a long time...I will not be watching it, will wait for the you tube to see Adam singing....No New Years Ball for me...not on t.v.
@Peggy - I hear ya! What a pity that they chose to cut Adam from that show. I think they were a bit hasty in that decision, and now his fans will be the ones to suffer...
@Peggy That attitude is one of the reasons I will not be buying Adam's CD.
In 2003, however, Pink was censored on both feeds for her Billboard Awards performance on FOX, which saw her grab her crotch, roll around on stage equipment in a sexually-charged fashion and, at one point, thrust a male dancer's head toward her nether regions.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, minutes after he left the stage at the AMAs, Adam said he was going to be upset if his performance was edited for the West Coast.
"If it's edited, that's discrimination... I will be a little disappointed because there is a little bit of discrimination going in this country. There's a big double standard, female pop artists have been doing things provocative like that for years, and the fact that I'm a male, and I'll be edited and discriminated against could be a problem," he said.
I am so sick of people playing the discrimination card.
Hello fellow Examiner! Thanks for sharing this info. Adam Lambert is a great performer. Too bad, Dick Clark. I think the AMA controversy will ultimately work in Adam's favor.
