ABC has officially canceled Adam Lambert's appearance on Good Morning America in New York City.

Lambert was set to perform on Good Morning America's 'Fall Concert Series' on Wednesday, November 25.

However, an e-mail from an ABC audience coordinator has stated that the concert has been canceled. This cancellation comes directly after ABC received over 1,500 complaints following Lambert's raunchy American Music Awards performance.

The cancellation e-mail read as follows:

Attn: Adam Lambert Fans (About the November 25,2009 concert):
The Adam Lambert Concert on Good Morning America at the Hudson Theatre has been officially cancelled. It is not necessary to come to the theatre because it will be closed. Thank you for your interest in the show and Adam Lambert. We look forward to your attendance at future events.

Several viewers were, and probably still are, in an uproar after seeing Lambert grind on his back-up dancers, and emulate sex acts during his performance.

According to The Huffington Post, ABC had some concerns about Lambert performing on the morning show. The Huffington Post  has quoted ABC, stating the following:

A spokesperson for ABC said, "Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning."

ABC has removed any mention of Lambert performing on the show, from their official website.

Update: The CBS Early Show is said to have booked Adam Lambert for Wednesday, November 25, to dicuss his controversial American Music Awards performance.Lambert will also be performing on the show as well.
