Today is officially “Adam Lambert Day,” as was deemed by Mayor Sanders of San Diego two years ago during Adam Lambert’s American Idol hometown visit. Adam started celebrating Lambert Day a little early when he joined Prince on stage at his concert last night at the Forum in Inglewood, CA. After the concert Adam tweeted:
#LambertDay was surreal. Saw Prince down at the forum! Danced our assesoff. Happy MOMS Day!!
Adam is not the first celebrity to dance on stage during Prince’s concert. Many from the VIP section have joined Prince on stage, such as Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale, Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. According to an attendee, Nicole Scherzinger also danced on stage last night. To see video of Adam dancing during the concert, click on the video link to the left of this article.
It looks like Adam also began celebrating Mother’s Day early, as he was joined by his mother Leila at the concert. In his tweet he also wished fan a happy “MOMS’ Day.
It’s good to see that Adam is taking time off to have fun while working hard on his next album. Fans are looking forward to hearing his new music, especially when teased by tweets such as this from Bonnie McKee a couple of days ago:
“Listening to @adamlambert... blowing minds”
Adam’s sophomore album is expected out as early as next fall. In the mean time, fans in Russia and Canada have the opportunity to see him perform live in the coming months at Maxidrom 2011 Festival in Moscow this month and the St. Agathe en Feux Festival in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, Quebec in July.
