It has been said that Adam Lambert’s performance on Sunday night at the end of the American Music Awards (AMA) was disgusting and tasteless; while others have said they liked it, that it was different and he rocked (to see comments of what people have said, click here). The video of Lambert’s performance has been one of the top internet search items over the past few days and the buzz on this one is hot.

Before he started to sing his performance Lambert warned the audience “that it was going to get rough”. He made sexually suggestive moves simulating oral sex, flipped off the audience, and kissed his male keyboard player. Adam Lambert, a recent American Idol runner up was scheduled to perform Wednesday morning on Good Morning America (GMA). GMA cancelled his performance after ABC was flooded with over 1,500 complaints.
The Early Show on CBS quickly took advantage of that and asked Lambert to appear on their Wednesday morning show for a performance and interview to discuss what happened.

I have seen some bad sh%t but this guys can't sing to safe his life.
LOL It was ok 20 yrs. ago for Madonna to run around with a bra and girdle on kissing other females onstage, cuz it is girl on girl and guys loved it. Then male artist grabbing their crotches was ok. Now this guy does this and the whole thing is "horrible, disgusting" etc. and the truth of the matter is where were the censors before the airing of the show, who are now blurring his crotch?? I remember another TV apperance where a young man was shown only from the waist up, GEE Elvis!!
I don't see a problem with the clip at all. In fact, we see people swallowing each others tongues and having sex all the time on TV. He made some provocative moves...that's it. The hysteria about it only reflects the sad state of entrenched subconscious and conscious homophobia in society. In a way I think it is good to engage in the debate as sad as it is to see it occur.
It is a shame that Adam does all that screaming because he has a good voice. His Mad World performance was awesome. Madonna had just as many controversial videos. I really don't think Adam's performance was any different that ones she has done. I suspect he will come out with better songs in the future. He could be the next Elton John.

I think it was horrible. It's like we are going from the USA to Sodom & Gomorrah and we know how that story ended. What that video says to me is that it's time for people with a moral compass to stand up and say enough is enough or I shudder to think where we will be in 20 yrs, will people be having open sex on prime time TV. I don't know about you but reading the headlines these days shows a decline for the humane civility that made us a great country. I feel this would have been appropriate had it been on mtv but abc?? I mean come on?? I'm gay myself but I do have morals and respect. I would not want my children or my neice's seeing that. There is a line and it was crossed big time. ABC is not a channel to have anything sexually suggestive on it. It's a family channel people keep that in mind! I love Adam but people like him really set the GLBT community back. Shame on you Adam..

Forget the suggestive dancing, etc. The shocking thing is there are actually people who think this schlock has any talent. Go back and listen to the song with your eyes closed. If you can make it to the end, you might want to think about giving it all up.

who really cares??? adam just wanted everyone to know that he doesn't care what other people think about him. He is a great singer and I admire everything he does. And to all of you out there who are calling this performance "discusting" and "horrible" I would like to see you get your butts up there and do what he just did. Oh I know you wouldn't because adam got guts and you dont. Adam is a role model to many people out there with self-esteem issues. Adam shows everyone that it doens't matter what others think of you. So you all can just keep running your mouths about how horrible this performance was, but just remember none of you will ever amount to him.
I am a true blue Adam fan and even though the "controversial" performance at the AMA's worried me, I now have more concern over the hateful and homophobic remarks I read anytime the AMA performance is brought up. Grow up, America!! Adam Lambert has the most beautiful voice of any man alive and I feel real sorry for the people who only judge him on his sexual preference. Adam Lambert is very gifted in more than singing. Through his mass appeal, he may succeed in putting the double standard crap to rest. ABC, Disney Productions & Tallywacker Clark are the biggest homophobes of all! The AMA story has been ridden to death by all the so called journalists, just another way for them to ride on Adam's coat tails. I love you, Adam!! Kiss a guy, I ain't skeered to watch!!

Adam needs to perform on tv for New Years Eve!!!! The guy is talented and rocks. Its funny the guys and girls that don't care for him still watch him to see what he might do or wants to just see him and hear what he has to say. There jealous!!! He has it has it all! And I think it is great his mom stands behind him and also travels with him at times. She should be very proud I would be!!!!! Love ya ADAM!!! went to a concert yah!!
