Adam Jones, formerly known as “Pac-Man Jones” has agreed to remain with the Cincinnati Bengals for the next three years. He has followed several of his teammates who have already re-signed with the club.
Jones, alongside Leon Hall and Terrence Newman make a formidable team that held opponents to four touchdowns in the past nine games.
And if Newman remains with the club, the Bengals will have managed to keep their key defensive pieces for the 2013 season.
In 2012, Jones didn’t miss any games, made 43 tackles, and defended 11 passes. Not only is Jones known for his defensive play, he is also an explosive kick returner. Opposing teams try to avoid kicking to him. Last season, he returned a kick for an 81-yard touchdown.
Jones has experienced most of his success in the NFL while playing under defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.
Jones said he respects Zimmer and is comfortable playing in Zimmer’s defense. Read more about the Adam Jones signing at Bengals.com.
