With the Conference Championships over, the Browns have to wait even longer to talk to one of their top candidates. Adam Gase, the offensive coordinator for Denver, will now wait till after the Super Bowl to interview with the Browns. Maybe. Reports have been coming out that Gase has told Cleveland he is going to stay in Denver with Peyton Manning. This is just another coach to not want to coach the Browns, leaving a short list of coaches.

Cleveland is getting into another sticky situation of not being able to get the guy they wanted. Last year, the Browns were going after Chip Kelly. Kelly went to Philadelphia ,and the Browns had to settle with Rob Chudzinski. After firing him though at the end of the year to look for a new coach, they are once again having trouble. With the way this search is going, the Browns will be getting another first year coach.

The Browns have a few options for a head coach. They currently are interested in Mike Pettine, defensive coordinator in Buffalo, and Dan Quinn, defense coordinator in Seatlle. They also could reconsider Mike Munchak, former Tennessee Titans head coach. Of these, only Munchak has head coaching experience. The search for Cleveland probably won’t be settled until after the Super Bowl now because of Quinn though.
