It looks like the next chapter in the Star Wars Saga is jumping head first into the dark side of the force. In a report from Variety, it would seem the people behind the anticipated film are narrowed their search for the Episode VII’s villain. According to the report, actor Adam Driver could in fact be playing the main antagonist for the film as well as the entire trilogy. While the casting is not official just yet, sources are indicating that the Driver is all but signed to be the next major villains of Star Wars.
Apparently director JJ Abrams has been was aiming for the Girls star to play this new nemesis. Other actors who had a high chance of playing the villain were the likes of Michael Fassbender and Hugo Weaving. In the end though, it looks like Driver is taking the role; and more to the point, it seems that the character is being described to be similar as the iconic villain Darth Vader. What that means remains to be seen, so stay tune for more details.
Little is known on the film’s plot. Speculation has circled that Episode VII will feature a new cast of characters, with the exception of seeing the return of Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and Han Solo. While the details on the films story is still scarce, it might be safe to say that we have found the first official cast member for the next Star Wars trilogy. Stay tune more on the story.
