Acupuncture as a healing tool.

Perfect health is the natural and normal state for human beings. That’s the assertion I’ve been dealing with for the past few years as I meet with my Acupuncturist / Oriental Medicine Practitioner / Alchemist, who most people call “Doctor Bob.” Dr. Bob goes well beyond using traditional Oriental or Western techniques to support people in reaching that state of natural health. Among other things, he’s uses crystals and rocks as well as espousing food as medicine. His practices may appear odd, but, over the years, I’ve found them to be excellent at producing extraordinary results in a short period of time. Less than a year ago, he disappeared a very nasty toothache I had by placing a large black rock next to my jaw.

The latest instance of this “miraculous, instant healing” happened yesterday. For nearly two weeks, I’ve been suffering with the “bug” that’s been going around here in Seattle. It seems to have emerged for a lot of people just after the Seahawks won the Super Bowl, so Dr. Bob contends that it’s “Seahawks Fever,” a case of letdown after the big win.

My regular doctor noted all the symptoms (chronic cough, fever, chills, body aches, exhaustion, etc.) and made no formal diagnosis other than I had symptoms that could be treated with the usual remedies including rest, fluids and Tylenol. I’d been following that regime until yesterday when I had a three-hour session with Dr. Bob.

It was a fairly routine appointment using lasers, needles, crystals and essential oils. When it was over, I felt the usual - energized, lighter, taller and overall healthier. My chronic cough (the primary symptom bothering me) had not, however, dissipated, but I returned home grateful for the enormous improvement.

This morning, I woke as usual, and it was a couple hours before I realized that I was not coughing. By early afternoon, I was certain that all my symptoms had disappeared, and I had returned to my natural, normal state of excellent health. I believe that that is how health and healing should be for all people.

May we all discover our true inner “Dr. Bob” and learn to naturally do whatever it takes to maintain our natural, normal health.
