What Albuquerque residents lovingly call the "dollar movies" is actually no longer a dollar for all shows and hasn't been for many years. Nevertheless, Cinemark Movies 8 and Cinemark Movies West will both be referred to as the "dollar movies" for the people of Albuquerque due to its low prices. Regular prices range from $1.75-$2.25 for most days for children and adults alike. Seniors only pay $1 on Mondays and everyone can get discounted tickets for $1 all day each Tuesday. Be sure to sign up for their email newsletter to receive free weekly concession coupons.
The Cinemark Movie Clubhouse is another way to get movie tickets less than regular price. In the past, clubhouse movie tickets used to only cost $0.50. However, this year they cost $1/ticket per movie. The trick to getting tickets at an even cheaper price is to purchase a $5 pass that can be used for 10 Cinemark Movie Clubhouse movies throughout the summer, bringing the price back down to $0.50 a ticket. These movies are aimed for a younger audience and all are rated G or PG. They will be shown Wednesdays or Thursdays at 9:30 am. Clubhouse movies that will be showing this summer include Night at the Museum, Smurfs, Walking with Dinosaurs, Lego Movie and others. See the Cinemark Movies 8 flyer and the Cinemark Movies West flyer for further details. Each flyer also contains a printable coupon for a $1 off a movie snack pack.
