In an interview with “E! Entertainment,” actress Paula Patton, wife of Robin Thicke says, “It doesn’t affect me anymore at all,” about the MTV Awards Miley Cyrus backing into and infamously twerking on Patton’s husband, recording artist, Robin Thicke.
After the VMA’s performance, Paula Patton even then, did not think the performance between her husband and Miley was such a big deal. Patton also told her “Blurred Lines” singer husband, “You guys killed it!”
According to Patton’s interview, both Patton and Thicke hugged it out, and went out to celebrate after the show. From there, Patton also mentioned to E!, how she received a lot of texts the next day from people thinking things went wrong between her and Thicke.
People texted, “Praying for you,” and “If you need to talk, I’m here, etc.”
We know it takes ‘two to tango,’ but if everyone can recall, Robin Thicke was not the one who initiated the ‘craziness’ that occurred in the performance. Miley was the one who was dressed almost-naked, and backed into Thicke, and began rubbing her booty on him.
As for Patton, she also does not know why people made such a big deal out of Miley’s performance that took place in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Apparently, people these days dance that way.
“It was all about the Miley thing and I thought, why are people making such a big deal about it? Quite frankly, all my friends dance like that with him. He’s like the guy that you can dance with, ‘cause he’s safe!”
As for the rumors of Patton and Thicke splitting, those are just rumors. Patton and Thicke are moving forward with their careers, and Patton’s new movie, “Baggage Claim” opens up this Friday.
Baggage Claim is a romantic comedy, which also co-stars Taye Diggs, Boris Kodjoe, Trey Songz, Djimon Hounsou, Christina Milian and La La Anthony.
