Actress Nina Xining Zuo has her priorities in the right place.
Zuo, who was born and raised in Shanghai, China, believes that health and happiness are the paramount goals in life.
"There's no point of staying in the industry if the bigger the role you get, the less happiness you have," says Zuo, who now resides in Woodland Hills, California. "Hollywood can create stars, but it cannot generate happiness. If I am still happy doing what I am doing along the way, the objective is to be on the A-list."
As a teenager in Shanghai, Zuo was chosen as a hostess for various youth programs for city TV & radio because she could read, write and speak Mandarin Chinese at the broadcasting level.
Arriving in the United States, Zuo studied International Marketing and received a Bachelor's Degree from U.T.A Business School. She was hired by Macy's in Seattle and soon broke the company's sales records.
Later, Zuo left her position in Public Relations with Microsoft to Hollywood to pursue her childhood dream of being an actress.
Her first short film role was well received by American audiences, as it won her the 10th Bare Bones International Film Festival Best Actress award. She has also had two leading roles on Chinese television.
As for Zuo's plans for the future, she says that she doesn't really plan so much as doing everything possible to add value to her career and letting fate decide her outcome.
"Can we plan the time we arrive the earth?" Zuo asks rhetorically after pondering . "Can we plan our departure?"
