The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the Hallmark Channel filmed “It’s a Christmas Spirit” movie scenes in Lebanon, Ohio (northeast of Cincinnati) today. Earlier in the week, scenes were filmed at Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati and the Country Kitchen restaurant near I-71.
Nicollette Sheridan, former “Desperate Housewives” actress portrays journalist Charlotte Hart, a journalist who returns home for the holidays. On her way home, Hart is involved in a car accident and ends up in a coma. Although Lebanon experienced some rain today, the sun arrived in time for Sheridan’s first scene.
The movie will premiere on December 1st in time for the holidays. Filming began on Mulberry Street, near the famous Golden Lamb restaurant. The movie crew spent the day decorating downtown Lebanon with fake snow, Christmas wreaths and trees and holiday banners.
Two other high profile movies have been shot in Lebanon: Harper Valley PTA starring Barbara Eden in 1977 and Melanie Griffith’s Milk Money in 1993. Read more about this story at the Cincinnati Enquirer’s website.
