May 16, 2011 -- Former "Wild One" star Mary Murphy has died. The actress passed away from heart disease in her Beverly Hills home on May 4th, according to TMZ.
Mary Murphy was discovered by Paramount Pictures while working in a coffee shop. Before her "Wild One" debut, where she co-starred along side Marlon Brando, she was also employed at the famed Saks 5th Avenue. Her death is a true loss to Hollywood.
Murphy is best remembered for her "Wild" role, and for starring opposite Jamie Lee Curtis' father, Tony Curtis, in "Beachhead." The actress also appeared in classic 1950's films such as "The Desperate Hours," "A Man Alone," and "The Mad Magician."
"Mary was a great actress. She will be missed," tweeted one Cleveland fan of classic films. "R.I.P. Mary Murphy," tweeted another sad fan. What are your thoughts on the "Wild One" actresses death?
