Actress Kim Novak is battling breast cancer. Novak is best known for her role in Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo" film and won a Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer and for World Film Favorite.
Kim Novak, who is now 77 years old, is now dealing with breast cancer. However, the cancer was reportedly caught early, so signs may be good for a recovery.
"It was caught early by a routine yearly mammogram and is undergoing treatment," Novak's manager Sue Cameron told The Hollywood Reporter. "All her doctors say she is in fantastic physical shape and should recover very well."
Cameron also revealed that Kim Novak is in excellent shape, as she regularly works out. Novak, a Chicago native, currently lives on an Eagle Point, Oregon ranch with her husband Dr. Robert Mallo where they couple raise live stock.
Some of Kim Novak's film roles include; "The French Line," "Phffft!" "Son of Sinbad," "Against the House," and "Picnic." She's a film star that's been around since the 1950's and will fight to stay around much longer than that.
"Thoughts and prayers are with Kim Novak, she's an amazing actress," said one local resident. What are your thoughts on Kim Novak's breast cancer diagnosis? Leave your comments below.
