Jane Fonda (born Lady Jayne Seymore Fonda) is an American actress, writer, political activist and former fashion model and fitness guru. Daughter to actor Henry Fonda and sister to actor Peter Fonda. Before her interest in acting peeked, she was a fashion model, gracing the covers of many magazines.
In 1954, in her mid-teens, and her father's acting interests, Fonda also became interested in acting and began formal training in 1958 under renowned drama instructor Lee Strasberg, and joined his Actors Sudio.
Fonda's stage work in the 1950s laid the ground work for her future work in film beginning in the 1960s, averaging almost two movies a year throughout the decade.
In 1971 she won her first Academy Award for Best Actress in the murder mystery Klute. She won her 2nd Oscar in 1978 for Coming Home.
Fonda quoted on "vanity."
I don't want my wrinkles taken away - I don't want to look like everyone else."

Fonda on "being hurt."
When you can't remember why you're hurt, that's when you're healed."
