This will be the second marriage for both the 31-year-old D-Wade, a.k.a. “Flash,” and the 41-year-old Gabrielle Union, who most recently co-starred in the film “Think Like a Man.”

D-Wade’s proposal to Union came as the couple, who have been a hot item for the last several years, was getting ready for a Miami Heat Christmas Party.

"Sooooo this happened... #Yessss," Union wrote as she posted a close-up shot of her new engagement ring to Instagram.

Friends thought something might be up when they received Christmas cards from D-Wade and Union that came with the holiday greeting "Happy Holidays from the Wade-Union Family," with each card having the return address listed as the "Wade-Union Family."

Inside the Christmas cards were family photos of Wade and Union, plus photos of “Wade's two sons and the nephew he's raising.”

Wade has played his entire professional NBA career for the Miami Heat beginning in 2003 and was named the 2006 Sportsman of the Year by “Sports Illustrated”.

In addition to co-starring in the recent “Think Like a Man,” Gabrielle Union co-starred opposite Kirsten Dunst in the 2000 cheerleader film “Bring It On,” and also appeared in the Will Smith, Martin Lawrence film “Bad Boys II.”

Mazel Tov to Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade!
