But the Desperate Housewive's star is also asking for fans to pray for her and her husband as their marital divorce--and that of Tony's former fellow player Brent Barry--hits the court simultaneously.
"It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other's happiness."

Eva Longoria is praying for her husband's happiness in spite of the hurt he has sent her way. Eva's acknowledgement that she thinks prayer is needed--and helpful--is a cue to her fans to pray for her during her dark hour of divorce.

In spite of that strength, Eva Longoria has decided now is not the time to appear this Sunday, Nov. 21st, at the American Music Awards, bowing out this week from the event.

The pair were captured in a loving embrace and appeared to be fine at that outing and others that have followed since, including an October event for Tony.
