A busy mom and actress, Eva La Rue seems to maintain her fit and fabulous figure effortlessly. In reality, however, that sleek physique is the result of adhering to the low carb Paleo diet. Eva's such a believer that she even wrote a review for Robb Wolff's web site. He's the author of "The Paleo Solution: The Original Human Diet."
"I am a firm believer in The Paleo Solution," she says in the review. "I maintain a hectic schedule that starts early and finishes late. Filming a television series, maintaining my fitness, and being a mom can be harrowing some days. Since adopting a Paleo way of eating I look and feel better, and I know that I am setting a good example for my daughter.”
Robb is regarded as one of the leading gurus in the Paleo world. In addition to his first book, he's authored prefaces and contributed to "The Paleo Approach: Reverse Autoimmune Disease and Heal Your Body" and "Practical Paleo: A Customized Approach to Health and a Whole-Foods Lifestyle."
In an interview with Access Hollywood, Eva admitted that it's not easy getting her daughter to follow in her Paleo food footsteps.
“It’s a constant struggle to get my daughter to eat anything but burgers and chicken fingers!" Eva laughed. "But she does like broccoli and carrots so we try to get her to eat them often. As a mother, it’s important to me that my daughter develops a healthy relationship with food."

How about fitness? Eva told Shape magazine that she takes three 90-minute advanced ballet classes a week. She describes it as "an intense aerobic workout."
But ballet offers more than cardio. "There are also Pilates-type moves that strengthen my core and make my muscles long and lean." A variety of ballet fitness DVDs are available, including "Ballet Fitness by Jennee: Ballet Blast; Slim, Tone, and Blast Calories" and "Ballet Beautiful: Total Body Workout."
