If Prince Harry is looking for a girlfriend -- or even just a date -- actress Emmy Rossum is up for the job. The "Phantom of the Opera" star admits she has a major thing for the British royal. "I'm not saying I want to marry him, but he's more than welcome to invite me out on a date," the 26-year-year old singer/songwriter/actress confesses in an interview released today (Tuesday) by Britain's Live magazine. "I know in my heart that this is one of those impossible never-to-be realized crushes."
Emmy Rossum's crush on Prince Harry is nothing new. She admits she's had a thing for the red-headed prince for quite some time -- like 20 years! "Growing up I used to pretend I was married to him in an alternate universe. Like any other seven year old I had a fairy tale notion of growing up and marrying a prince." Rossum says she's attracted to the third-in-line to the throne because he's "pretty cute" and "very boisterous."
Perhaps the timing might work out for Rossum -- after all Harry is currently single. But his bachelor status may not stay that way for long. The 28-year-old prince (whom the actress calls more "age appropriate" than her other British crush, Gordon Ramsay) returned from Afghanistan last month with the reigning title of World's Most Eligible Bachelor.
