Actress Daniel Fishel, famous for her 90's character Topanga Lawrence, is showing her assets in the newest Maxim. The "Boy Meets World" star is certainly transitioning to "Girl Meets World" with her sexy new shoot, although the show probably won't be quite as racy.
According to CBS News on March 8, Fishel has stripped down for the latest Maxim magazine. Not only is she revealing more skin, but also some other interesting tidbits including where the name Topanga came from, and rumors about dating her co-star Ben Savage. Of that gossip, she notes in the new magazine:
"That rumor was entirely my fault because I once said, on 'The Tyra Banks Show,' that Ben and I went on a date, and that turned into 'Danielle and Ben dated.' We went on one date, when I was about 15, and by the time the dinner was over we realized mutually that we were more like family than lovers."
For those wondering how the name "Topanga" came up, it was due to "Boy Meets World" creator Michael Jacobs who was driving past Topanga Canyon at the time of a call production call. Naturally, he decided upon Topanga, getting lucky that the call had come before he drove by that spot. Otherwise Fishel's character might have been "Canoga." Doesn't sound question as catchy, or now that she's in Maxim, nearly as sexy.
Danielle Fishel appears on the newest Maxim magazine cover as well as inside its pages. Her new show, "Girl Meets World," will premiere on the Disney Channel later this year. Roanoke viewers can watch it on Cox Cable channel 24.
