Brittany Murphy
Recently I had considered doing a piece on “Whatever happened to Brittany Murphy” , but today her life tragically came to an end at 32. Murphy, a talented actress appeared in films such as Clueless, Girl Interrupted, 8 mile, Sin City, and Riding in cars with boys. Her ability to chameleon into a totally different person for each role made it almost impossible to recognize her expect for those unmistakable eyes, and her raspy voice.. She was also a wonderful vocalist who had a dance hit in “Faster Kill Pu-ssy cat” 2006 with musician Paul Oakenfold.
Brittany Murphy was born November 10,1977 in Atlanta Georgia , but after her parents divorced her mother moved them to New Jersey. When Brittany decided to get into acting her mother moved the family again to Los Angeles.
Murphy said "When I asked my mom to move to California, she sold everything and move out here for me. ... She always believed in me.
Murphy landed her first role of Brenda Drexell in Drexells Class at age 14 . She also appeared in The Torkelsons, Parker Lewis can’t lose, Blossom, Sister Sister, and Frasier. Some of her most successful films were Clueless, Girl Interrupted, Little Black book,Sin City, and Uptown Girls. She became the face of a catch phrase with her classic line “I’ll never tell...” as a young psych patient in “Don’t say a word”.
The actress had been seen early in December promoting her latest project "Across the Hall" and she "appeared" thin, but in good health. But some disturbing footage of a "frenetic' Murphy, and her husband Simon Monjack had been featured recently on shows like TMZ. Reportedly at 8 AM the LA Fire department responded to a “medical request” at Murphy’s Hollywood home. Sources say she had collapsed in her bathroom and paramedics tried to revive her on the scene, but soon transported her to the Cedars Sinai Medical Hospital. While at the hospital she suffered a cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead at 10:04 am.
