'New Girl' actress Zooey Deschanel has long been known for her feminine vintage style. For the past decade, she has brought her own brand of throw-back style in a-line dresses, cardigans and other classic pieces to the masses. Whether singing in the band She & Him or popping up at awards shows and in movies, fans have long appreciated her quirky yet classy clothes.
Deschanel recently teamed up with fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger on a fashion line. The 'To Tommy, From Zooey' collection launched at Macy's on April 15, and features a variety of pieces ranging from $100 to $200. Fans of Deschanel are enthusiastic about the launch. Denver resident Melissa Skrbic-Huss loves her style and wants to check out the collection. "I do in general use her as an inspiration for my clothing choices and would totally buy from her collection." Denver Geek Culture Examiner Colleen Bement echoes the sentiment. "I would buy most anything Zooey wears. Her fashion sense is undeniable!"
While the line stands true to the Hilfiger's nautical inspired brand, Deschanel's stamp can be seen throughout. Many of the dresses feature classic A-line cuts reminiscent of the 1960s, and they introduce pops of color in complementary ways. It seems that these days, every celebrity has a clothing line or fragrance, but this pairing makes sense and solidifies Deschanel's status as a style icon. Check out the line for yourself at Macy's.
