Actors Theatre showcases Our Town

Actors Theatre helps audiences understand the value of small-town life in Our Town, which opens tonight.

Our Town will take place at various times each day from Jan. 21- Feb. 9. All performances will happen in Pamela Brown Auditorium, located inside Actors Theatre at 316 W Main Street in downtown Louisville.

Tickets for each show depend on the day and time. Tickets can be purchased at the Actors Theatre website, Actors Theatre box office, or by calling the box office at 502-584-1205.

Keep in mind, though, with the snow and falling temperatures taking place today, tonight's show may or may not be canceled. Check with Actors Theatre for updates.

Our Town focuses on finding value in the everyday life of small-town America. Citizens of an early 20th Century town go about their business, but for some their daily routines will be interrupted unexpectedly. When that happens, what are their reactions? Will they understand the meaning of treasuring every moment of life?

Thornton Wilder created the production, which Les Waters directed for Actors Theatre.

During Our Town's run, Actors Theatre is also presenting The Pirates of Penzance. That production will continue until Feb. 5.
