Actors’ Summit Theater presents ‘Back to Bacharach and David’

They are timeless melodies and lyrics that we have all grown to love; such songs as "What's New Pussycat?", "Alfie", "The Look of Love", "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" "Don't Make Me Over", "(They Long to Be) Close to You", and "Walk On By". With music by Burt Bacharach and lyrics by Hal David these great 70’s and 80’s showstoppers and more are in store with “Back to Bacharach and David” that is being performed by Actors’ Summit Theater.

Featuring over two dozen songs, the show will have a preview performance on Thursday, June 12 with opening night on Friday, June 13, 2014. “Back to Bacharach and David” is scheduled for 22 performances and will close on July 20. There will be no performances given on June 20 and July 4, 2014. The shows will be performed on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. with a 2:00 p.m. Sunday matinee and will take place at Greystone Hall that is located at 103 S. High Street in downtown Akron. This show is appropriate for all ages.

Following the opening night performance there will be a free dessert reception with the cast on Friday, June 13.

Tickets for “Back to Bacharach and David” are on sale now by calling the box office at (330) 374-7568 or by going online at www.actorssummit.org. Preview tickets (June 12) are $20. Tickets for all other performances: $33 for adults, $28 for seniors over 65; and $10 for all full time students under 30.

The theater is located on the sixth floor of historic Greystone Hall in downtown Akron. The facility features barrier free access, free parking, and full bar service.
