Actor Thomas Gibson arrested Sunday on DUI suspicion

Sunday morning, actor Thomas Gibson was arrested on suspicion for driving under the influence (DUI) in Los Angeles; Gibson is currently the star of the hit CBS TV show "Criminal Minds."

Thomas Gibson, 50, was arrested sometime between 1 and 1:30 a.m. in downtown Los Angeles after he reportedly drove through a blockaded that had been marked off for an overnight half marathon early Sunday morning, according to CBS2 Los Angeles. Police said that they smelled alcohol on his breath and asked him to take a Breathalyzer test, but Gibson refused the test and they arrested him.

Gibson’s bail was set at $15,000 at the Los Angeles Central Jail, and he was released at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

Gibson has also starred on the hit TV shows "Dharma & Greg" (a made for TV comedy) and "Chicago Hope" (a made for TV drama) in the past. He has no other history of any arrest record.
