Hollywood, CA -- When it comes to class and style, Robert Davi proved once again the actor and recording artist has what it takes to win the hearts of thousands of celebrants attending The Salvation Army's 2nd annual Rock the Red Kettle concert at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood on Saturday (December 17).
The outdoor venue was crowded with those who came out to see their favorite celebrities and singing groups, including pop rock band Hanson; pop rock singer and pianist Greyson Chance; Australian pop singer Cody Simpson; actor and guitarist Drake Bell; R & B and acoustic singer Colbie Caillat; and pop/rock band Honor Society.
The performing artists gave of their time and extraordinary talent to promote The Salvation Army's 120th Red Kettle Campaign, which, this year, was aimed at raising money to aid more than 4 million Americans struggling to make ends meet this holiday season.
The event was moderated by actor and celebrity host Mario Lopez.
To the surprise of parents, grandparents and young adults alike, Davi joined The Salvation Army's Major George Hood at center stage to urge attendees to download Davi's new CD, "Mistletoe and Holly," from iTunes and Amazon.
"We were NUTS this evening when [Robert Davi] showed up on the big screen and on stage!" Ursula Lucia, mother of a 12-year-old actor and singer, wrote on Facebook. "We downloaded our copy and are getting into the holiday spirit with this beautiful rendition of the song. It's so nice to listen to wonderful music like this and know we benefit, even though so many more will be benefiting because we downloaded it."
All of Davi's proceeds from the sale of the joyous $0.99 single will help The Salvation Army aid some 5,000 under-served communities nationwide.
