Actor on school board: 'Breaking Bad' star wins seat

An actor on the school board in Albuquerque has a very familiar face. That's because he is one of the stars who acts alongside Bryan Cranston in the popular television series "Breaking Bad." On Feb. 5, 2013, Steven Michael Quezada, who plays federal drug agent Steven Gomez, won the seat on the Albuquerque school board. According to Yahoo!, he was running unopposed.

For this actor on the school board, it was an easy road to victory. There was no incumbent and he was the sole candidate for Albuquerque's west side District 5.

Quezada may not have had any competition, but he does bring some experience to the role. He has served on the board of the Public Academy for the Performing Arts, a school attended by three of his four children.

Quezada will turn 50 on Feb. 15, 2013.

Do you think it will be distracting for the other members to have an actor on the school board, or is he just another concerned citizen and father looking out for the best interests of the children in the district?
