Actor Morris Chestnut appeared on the “Tom Joyner Morning Show” Thursday to plug his new film “The Call” in which he stars with Oscar winner Halle Berry and Abigail Breslin. Chestnut plays Berry's boyfriend in the thriller which premieres in theaters across the US Friday March 15. In the film Berry stars as a 911 operator who goes head to head with a serial killer.
Chestnut told the “TJMS” morning crew the film will have moviegoers engrossed and on the edge of their seats. He also added it was a pleasure working with Berry.
“This is the thing about Halle, she is so just genuine and sweet and down-to-earth. Halle for everything that she has accomplished, Academy Award, always being touted as one of the most beautiful women in the world, it was just really refreshing to get to know her because she was extremely genuine and very down-to-earth and just was a very sweet, sweet person.”
Chestnut last starred on the big screen in the hit comedy “Identity Thief” with Melissa McCarthy and Jason Bateman. His fans can look for him again later this year in “Kick Ass-2” and the sequel to “The Best Man”.
