With all the speculation over who will fill the Divergent film role of Tobias "Four" Eaton for Neil Burger's upcoming adaptation, fan attention to another central male role for the flick has been a bit thin ... until now, that is.
As detailed at Hypable, a young actor named Luke Kleintank announced on his Twitter feed that he'd recently tested for the role of Caleb, Tris' brother who happens to be in the same initiation class as her.
Kleintank wrote, "Tested for divergent for the role of caleb!!!! #divergent #shailenewoodley."
Kleintank is best known for his supporting TV work on Gossip Girl and Bones, but he also recently worked on two films - Haunted and 1000 To 1.
Caleb is a meaty character because while he was born into the Abnegation faction, he chose to join up with Erudite. His involvement with the manipulative group becomes a major factor in Tris' dealings with them as the story unfolds.
While we don't quite know what will become of him in Divergent book three, we do know that the Caleb Prior role is one which'll span the (presumed) franchise.
