Actor Jeremy London kidnapped, forced to smoke crack, just like 'Six Feet Under' episode

REVIEWING THE NEWS: Actor Jeremy London kidnapping sounds eerily like Six Feet Under episode.

Actor Jeremy London, 37, who starred as the perfectly wonderful Reverend Chandler Hampton in 7th Heaven: Beginnings, in 2004, and the troubled young Griffin Holbrook in Party of Five, four years prior, says he was kidnapped and forced to take drugs by his kidnappers in a harrowing 12-hour ordeal. London has recently come clean about drug use of his own, so initially this story raised more doubts and questions than it provided answers.

The story went like this: a week ago, London was changing a flat tire at 2 p.m., outside a Palm Springs, California hotel when two men, on foot, came to his assistance. After they helped him, he said he'd drive them home, and somehow one of the two soon-to-be-Bad Samaritans ended up doing the driving, with one of them holding a gun to London, and forcing him to smoke crack and buy alcohol for their friends in various seedy locations, while threatening him throughout. The terrifying ordeal went on for 12 hours.

London is in the midst of a messy custody battle over his 3-year-old son Lyrik with model Melissa Cunningham. He has been in and out of rehab, and has obviously seen better days. So, is this the result of an overactive imagination, a sympathy move for custody, a relapse, or just his retelling of one of Six Feet Under's scariest and most riveting episodes when Michael C. Hall's character, David Fisher, meets the same kind of harrowing fate?

Well, all ye of little faith. The story seems true enough. A kidnapper has been captured, London's car recovered, and even...get this...a cop who saw the two men helping London with the car, but thought nothing of asking if they needed help, was now able, after the fact, to confirm the first part of London's story.

Brandon Adams, 26, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with kidnapping, robbery, carjacking, possession of stolen property, vehicle theft and using a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Jeremy London is recovering in an undisclosed location with friends and family.

IN OTHER WORDS: If we hadn't seen the Six Feet Under segment, we would have taken this more lightly. But this is some serious sh*t!
