The Stereo Skateboard company was founded in 1992 by friends Jason Lee and Chris Pastras. At the time Jason and Chris were both professional skateboarders. Jason Lee was just about to get a break in his acting career in the Latina film "My Vida Loca". Next was his memorable role as Brodie opposite Shannon Dougherty in Kevin Smith's Mallrats. Jason has since starred in many films and made a huge name for his self on the small screen. "My Name is Earl" is probably how Jason became a household name. Unfortunately not everyone knows that he even skates or that he has been such a constant influence on skateboarding even while acting full time. While Jason was busy shooting or on a series Chris has always been there to hold down the company and his skills. Chris has maintained a very long career as one of skateboarding's smoothest rippers.
Stereo Skateboards has always been unique. From marketing, board graphics and their team they have always had a distinct flavor that could have only come from the dynamic duo of Jason Lee and Chris Pastras. - Jason Chapman The National Skateboarding Examiner
