"Green Arrow" has found its star crime fighting archer.
Steve Amell has been named to the pilot under development for the CW network. Under two weeks the fast track starting at a "Green Arrow" script being written to the ordering of a pilot that was enacting for the one time "Heartland" star attaining the lead.
The casting, as Deadline reports, is without additional word of a supporting cast in the forthcoming pilot. The Justice League of America member, in past DC Comics history, has been the superlative bowman whose longe-time stor associations include an on and off relationship with Black Canary. Besides the sonic blasting femme fatale and fellow JLA colleague, Green Arrow's sidekick Speedy has been part of the continiuty along with a millenial character development of a son. Connor Hawke took after his father and in Oliver Queen fashion joined a team of his own in Young Justice.
Amell taking the Oliver Queen role follows current reprising appearances on ABC's "Private Practice" and "New Girl" on FX. He had just finished a season length's role on HBO's "Hung", which had culminated at a third season.
