To some on the left, George W. Bush is the most powerful president in American history and can be blamed for everything. On Monday, actor Eric Roberts, the brother of Julia Roberts who was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in the 1985 movie "Runaway Train," claimed the former president is the one who actually killed journalist James Foley, not the terror group ISIS.
"Are you suffering from a head trauma?" one person asked. "Or are you naturally ignorant?"
"Wow," another person added. "I never dreamed someone could be so ignorant. You're finally the best at something!"
"@EricRoberts just like your acting, you are truly pathetic," added Twitter user "Texas Patriot." "I knew there was a reason I didn't like you."
"OMG, how ignorant is this loser?" another person asked. Apparently, fairly ignorant, as the video posted by ISIS clearly shows George W. Bush was not the man holding the knife.
According to the New York Daily News, British-born rapper Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary is said to be the man who beheaded Foley, not George W. Bush. According to reports, Bary left his $1 million London home to join ISIS last year. At one point, the Daily News said, he posted a photo of himself on Twitter holding a severed head.
“The MI5 (British intelligence agency) investigation into the man behind James Foley’s murder is ongoing, but they have managed to identify the masked British jihadist who can be seen in the video holding a knife to his throat,” a police intelligence source said. George W. Bush was not mentioned in the report.
His father, Adel Abdul Bary, is an Egyptian militant facing terrorism charges in connection with the 1998 bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. No relation to George W. Bush was mentioned in the reports.
Twitchy called Roberts "cuckoo pants" and described his tweet as "truly pathetic." The site also encouraged Roberts to "seek help, man."
