Actor and comedian Kelly Kinsella's one person show in Parsippany

In conjunction with the Women’s Theater Company’s Cabaret Series, actor and comedian, Kelly Kinsella will present her one person show titled, HOW TO DO A ONE PERSON SHOW at Parsippany Playhouse on April 25-27.

In her hysterical comedic way, Kinsella takes the audience on a journey of how to create a one person show by creating one right in front of you. It is a meta-theatrical experience in the vein of old school vaudeville which relies on audience reaction and celebrates the art form itself.

In addition to including the audience in her creation of a one person show, Kinsella will offer a THE ART OF SOLO PERFORMANCE WITH KELLY KINSELLA, is an introduction to the art of solo performance. This is for the novice performer or writer looking for stimulus to begin the process of creating a one person show. It is open to dramatic, comic, as well as musical and dance interpretation. Each student will end up with a three to five minute monologue or performance and will perform on stage with Kelly on Sunday, April 27th

Kelly Kinsella: How To Do a One Woman Show runs April 25 through April 27; Friday and Saturday at 8 pm; Sunday at 3 pm; tickets are $25 for adults and $20 for seniors. THE ART OF SOLO PERFORMANCE WITH KELLY KINSELLA will be held on April 26th from 12 pm- 4 pm at Parsippany Playhouse. This class is from 12 pm –4 pm. The cost is $150.

Actor, writer, comedian, Kelly Kinsella, has written and produced four original and critically acclaimed one woman shows. While working as an interactive street performer at Walt Disney World, she penned Excuse Me, I Appear to Have Misplaced My Soul - a hit at the Orlando Fringe Festival. Upon moving to NYC Kelly needed to pay the rent and became a member of the Broadway wardrobe union. Years of working backstage became the inspiration for her work onstage. Kelly Kinsella Live! Under Broadway was featured in BackstageNY as one of the top 20 performances on any New York stage that year. When Thoughts Attack, an honest and funny play about anxiety, can be seen every Sunday night at The Cell Theatre in Chelsea and at regional theatres and venues across the country. Kelly’s most recent play, How To Do a One Person Show was an official selection of the tenth annual soloNOVA Festival in NYC.
