Active weather pattern comes to an end

Discussion

Southeast Texas has been in an active weather pattern since New Year's Eve. Through January 14, College Station has received 4.87 inches of rain this month. This is already more rainfall than we typically see in a normal January (3.24 inches), and the month is only halfway over! 2013 is turning out to be a great year in the rainfall department. Hopefully we can keep up the momentum. Having said all of that, the next seven days looks mostly dry. The long range computer models are indicating that our next decent chance of rain will arrive around the end of January. Temperatures will likely remain slightly below average through early next week.
