Active Learning Centers approach childcare in a unique way. Founder, Paul Miller wanted to create a childcare center where children could develop confidence and self-esteem while being physically active. He accomplished that goal by integrating martial arts into his program.

Each day the children have class in the “mat room” with a qualified instructor who teaches them the basics of Kung Fu. Children as young as one learn balance, focus, and basic moves through age appropriate instruction. School age children are given their own uniform and attend classes during the afterschool program.

The center, which opened in 2007, is a STAR one site. It is run by Farrah Wuchter and sits on two quiet acres in Breinigsville, PA. The outside area includes a fenced yard with a jungle gym, basketball and volleyball courts, a hiking path and a child-tended garden.

There is a second center located in Emmaus. It has a rock wall and two large inflatable bouncers, as well as, a martial arts area. Both centers are available for birthday parties and offer evening classes for adults which include Zumba, kickboxing, and Kung Fu. For more information contact Active Learning Centers.
