Active kids are healthy kids

There are so many benefits to being active.
This is especially the case for kids because they
may be instilling a lifetime of good habits by
becoming more active from as early an age as
       possible.

Being active can also help to lower our current
high obesity rates. And if we could help our kids
to feel better about themselves and be healthier,
it is worth it. Here are some well-known benefits
       of being active.

       1. When kids are active, they can build strong
muscles. Strong muscles can help to ward off
obesity rates, and can help them feel better
about their body. When kids feel better about
their body, they can develop a more positive body
image. This is so important for kids because it
could instil a lifetime of self-acceptance.

       2. Being active can help kids feel good about
themselves. Active kids tend to have more friends
and are more social. They tend to hang out with
other like-minded kids doing physical activities,
such as track and field or playing baseball or
basketball. Active kids tend to just feel better
about how they feel and move.

       3. Being active helps kids to be happier and
less moody. Also, kids who are active tend to be
more balanced and less prone to negative
thinking. This is because when kids are active,
they release feel good endorphins into their
blood stream. And this can improve their mood and
overall state of being, making your kids much
       happier.

       4. Active kids aren't bored as quickly as
inactive kids. For instance, kids who watch more
than fifteen hours of television in sedentary
activities tend to be bored with themselves and
their lives. They tend to feel much more
fulfilled and peaceful. They also don't always
need to be passively entertained. Instead, they
don't mind entertaining themselves by doing
something active, such as taking a walk or play
street hockey. They will also meet like-minded
       kids by being active.

In order to be active, kids should find things
that they enjoy doing. Kids won't be active if
they are doing something that they don't enjoy.
But if they like an activity and it can help them
hang out with positive kids who are like-minded,
this could motivate them to be active as well.
       So, everyone wins.

So, try and help instill activities that your
kids will enjoy. This will keep them active and
       heathy.
