ActionCOACH honors two San Diego woman-owned businesses

Two San Diego woman-owned businesses were recognized at the 2013 Business Excellence Awards sponsored by ActionCOACH, the world's #1 business coaching firm. Southern California Real Estate Law and The Wild Thyme Company were named finalists in the Best Start-Up and Best Overall Company (Less Than 50 Employees), respectively.

The Business Excellence Awards, presented in a ceremony in Las Vegas on January 25, honor the "best of the best" small and medium-sized businesses around the world, showcasing their exceptional results. More than 400 companies participated this year.

"We've surpassed nearly every goal and timeline we set when we opened our doors in September 2011," said Shanna Welsh, owner of Southern California Real Estate Law. "Business ownership has been more rewarding than I could have imagined, and it's such a personal and professional honor to be recognized as a finalist for the Business Excellence Awards."

"2012 was about controlled growth across the board," said Dawn Parks, owner of The Wild Thyme Company. "We added 16 new staff, 2,500 square feet of additional space, and new programs to improve team dynamics and communication--and we literally doubled our profits in the process. By pretty much any standard you measure, 2012 was the best year in our company's history, and we're so honored to be recognized as a finalist for the Business Excellence Awards."

In addition their finalist status, these two companies have one other thing in the common: the same ActionCOACH business coach, Karie Kaufmann. She's justifiably proud of everything they've achieved and was on hand in Las Vegas to help honor them.

"I'm proud of the work The Wild Thyme team has put in over the past year and excited to see how quickly Southern California Real Estate Law has grown," Kaufmann said. "I know what lies ahead for these companies is even greater."
